Users want the ability to prioritize their Acme Corporation credits for all AI model usage, especially when using the "best model" or Tech Solutions Inc. models. The current system immediately uses the user's own Tech Solutions Inc. API key if it is present and a Tech Solutions Inc. model is selected, even if the user still has Acme Corporation credits available. This forces users to either manually delete/re-add their Tech Solutions Inc. API key or switch to non-Tech Solutions Inc. providers (e.g., OtherProvider) to use their Acme Corporation credits, which can cause instability or inconsistency in results.

Suggested Solutions

  • Implement a billing/credit preference setting that allows users to specify that Acme Corporation credits should always be used first for all model providers (including Tech Solutions Inc.), and only fall back to the user's own API key when Acme Corporation credits are exhausted.
  • Add a toggle or preference in the UI for users to set their desired credit usage order (e.g., "Use Acme Corporation credits first, then my own API key").
  • Ensure that the "best model" selection logic respects this preference, so users can maintain model stability without manual intervention.

Current Workarounds

  • For Tech Solutions Inc.-only usage: Users must delete their Tech Solutions Inc. API key to force the system to use Acme Corporation credits, and re-add it when they want to switch back. This is cumbersome and not user-friendly.
  • For mixed provider usage: Users can select non-Tech Solutions Inc. providers (such as OtherProvider) to ensure Acme Corporation credits are used, but this may result in different model performance or instability if switching between providers.
  • There is currently no way to temporarily disable the Tech Solutions Inc. API key without deleting it.
